RIP Max - A Crossbreed Himalayan Cat

His name is Max. He was 3 years old when he died, earlier this year 2015. When he was coming home, got injured by a sharp pointed grill installed on the wall as a safety barrier. Later he's got an infection and could not survive.

Max was a Siamese-Persian cross breed cat, which are also known as Himalayan Cats. Breed with combined Siamese and Persian traits, precisely for the cat fancy, began in 1930s at Harvard University in United States, under the term Siamese–Persian.

Long haired cats:
Breeders wanted to blend the striking color point
markings of the Siamese with the body form of the Persian cat. Like Persians cats generally, the Himalayan tends to have a round body long hair or fur with short legs, which makes it difficult for them to jump as high as other cats do.

Seal point Himalayan:
There are different coats for Himalayan cats or Siamese-Persian Cats such as Blue point, Seal point, Lilac point, chocolate point, Cream point and Red or flame point. The bulk of the fur on the body of a Himalayan is cream or white but the points come in many different colors: such as seal or black, blue, lilac, chocolate, red (flame), and cream.
